Our mission is to provide your child with the academic support, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive whether they’re preparing for the tests, college applications, or simply aiming to do better in school. We work with teenage students to help them meet their goals and grow into confident, capable individuals. Through regular one-on-one sessions, we check in on well-being, review school performance, and help set and achieve meaningful academic and personal goals. Whether your child attends public school, a private institution, or is homeschooled, we tailor our support to meet your family's unique needs.

$5500 12-week personalised programme
For students ready to go beyond “doing well” and reach their full academic potential.
Includes 2 x 1:1 sessions each week, ongoing communication, and parent updates all tailored to each student’s goals. Perfect for: ambitious students aiming for top grades and seeking extra challenge.

Specialist Academic Coach and Senior Leader

I hold a Doctorate in Education, specialising in the nurturing of academically gifted children. I bring almost 30 years of global teaching experience and currently serve in a senior leadership role at a respected independent school. A passionate educator, I champion innovative, research-informed teaching methods that bring out the best in high-ability learners.

My new book, to be published by Routledge next year, explores how schools can better support and challenge More Able learners combining the latest educational research with practical, classroom-tested approaches.

This same philosophy underpins my coaching: helping able students not only reach their academic potential, but also develop the self-awareness, focus, and resilience they’ll need for lifelong success.

I'm a University Lecturer and Tech Company Director, with over a 6 years of experience in education. Alongside my work in higher education, I’ve taught coding to children through CodeKids and coached young athletes as a qualified tennis coach. I specialise in helping gifted learners of all ages to stretch their thinking through engaging, practical learning. My sessions combine academic depth with real-world relevance, designed to challenge, excite, and build lasting confidence.

Our courses are intentionally small to ensure personalized attention and meaningful collaboration. You'll receive tailored instructions designed to unlock your full potential, while working closely with like-minded peers who are encouraged to co-produce and support each other’s growth.

Elevate the Summer
for 11-12 Year olds

Explore our learning packages focused on developing critical thinking, creativity, personal growth and communication skills.

Elevate the Summer
for 13-14 Year olds

Tailored for Gifted learners, these packages offer a diverse range of subjects including Philosophy, The Arts, History and Global Awareness.

Elevate the Summer
for 15-16 Year olds

Each Summer 2025 course is restricted to classes of 5 spread over 8 sessions lasting 2 hours each for 4 weeks and also includes 2 personal coaching sessions.

If you're considering any of the Elevate the Summer courses, please contact Dr. Lyon directly to discuss your requirements, including availability. Bookings are handled personally to ensure they suit your needs and to accommodate potential time zone differences with other class members.

Each Elevate Summer Courses is $450.

An initial online call provides a valuable opportunity for you and Dr. Lyon or Mr Garratt to meet, ask questions, and confirm that the course is the right fit before making any commitment.

Dr Lyon offers a series of online workshops and onsite training opportunities for Early Career Teachers, established professionals, and Leadership Teams. These sessions help schools enhance the learning experience of their More Able learners, develop effective policy, and define a clear strategic approach to supporting these students.
